Since I hadn’t done much talking this year and sharing of my work, I figured I’d give you all my top 10 of the year. These have been some of my favorite projects to work on all year long, no specifics on favorite clients, though they know who they are. I hope you all enjoy 🙂 Starting with 10 to 1 here are my favorites
This was a great project to work on. This was Asia’s first everythang. First logo design, first website, first branding experience – EVERYTHANG. With this project I learned more about working with others and even more about working with my business partner. Asia has a very fun and loving personality, making it a fun experience to be able to join her at events and work with her alongside her PR company, CLUXE Brand Management. In the end, the vision and project came together amazing – definitely giving myself a pat on the back for being able to bring her vision into fruition. This was one of my FAVORITE websites aesthetically along with her logo design. Be sure to check out her blog she’s creating some great reads over there.
This ended up being one of my favorite unreleased projects. I had reached out to Charlie earlier in the year because I really love her style and wanted to assist her with building her brand. We had worked together previously with her first logo design and I felt she had kind of outgrown the old style. Below is what I put together and proposed and although she didn’t choose to rock with it – it’s still one of my faves 🙂
8. Bellen Brand
I’ve been working with this brand for almost 2 years now 🙂 I love Alex’s ( CEO / Lead Designer ) spirit of hard work and dedication to her business. This year we made some new ground and new waves and worked together on a different level that has been beneficial for all and the company growth. I look forward to seeing what we come up with in 2017 and the years to come after.
7. “Lemonade” Hats
This project, unexpectedly, turned into something bigger than I imagined. I designed some hats, simply because every woman was going crazy over it and was able to flip it and produce something more amazing than the original plan. It went from just, “Lemonade” to “Food Moods”. Mysteriously, Nasty Gal reached out to me to inquire about placing a wholesale order and I went from selling one hat to having an order being placed for 96. Look at GOD 🙂 That was a pretty amazing feeling.
6. YELLE Beauty
One of my last major projects of 2016, I was able to help create and launch the website for Yandy Smith of LHHNY. This is her first of many new businesses that she is set to launch which include this luxury hair line. Really happy with the overall outcome and you will be seeing more from her and myself soon ( i’ll be working on the remainder of her new business ventures 😉
I LOVE LOVE LOVE working with this woman. She has a vision and she knows what she wants. The best thing to have when working with a new client. She recently launch a new line of baby jewelry in which I created the marketing and advertising flats for and she welcomed a new addition to her family in which triggered the start of a new mommy blog, In Drew’s Shoes. Every time we work together she gives me exact direction and the process goes so smooth. Not to mention she’s an amazing business woman all around.
I am so happy to be a part of this project and help one of my best friends visions and dreams come to life. That’s pretty much the beginning and the end LOL. SO happy for my friend and can’t wait to see her grow and flourish in 2017.
Had the opportunity to sit down with Felicia LaTour this year and help her develop a project she had been wanting to launch for awhile. Always good vibes when we meet – LOVE her energy. We developed the cutest logo and she put me to a few thangs like my new Passion Planner for 2017.
2. Little Shai
I’ve been working with Shop Shai ( Joie Chavis ) for 2 years now and I am happy to assist her with expanding her brand and market. Little Shai will be launching in 2017 for all the little princesses and mom’s that like to keep their girls fresh. Always good to see client growth and be apart of the process 🙂
MY FAVORITE OF ALL TIME
1. My personal brand – I feel like I kicked off the year strong then slowly faded to black due some personal and emotionally draining situations I was dealing with ( we all have them ) however, I stuck with things and didn’t give up on my vision, I am really proud of that. I’ve been creating all year long from coffee mugs to dad hats, wall art and constantly working on perfecting my home decor style. Really proud of myself for finally getting some awesome business cards ( LOL ) and can’t wait to share what I have planned for the future. Lots in motion, never gonna stop and got to keep it going until I see the vision that God has placed in my heart and mind come to fruition.
